Hello and Welcome! A Very Very Happy New Year to you and your loved ones. I truly hope and pray that 2021 brings hope, faith and life back into our lives.
If there’s one thing which 2020 has taught us, it is that most of our lives, most of what happens around us is beyond our control and yet the whole pursuit of life is to move forward – one step at a time.
How do you do?
It requires a certain amount of you know vision to set a goal it requires planning it requires a behaviour change, lifestyle change to achieve that goal. Today we will start with how to set our goals. We all know that if you want to get something done, write it down. The same goes for achieving anything in life. Set some goals and work towards it. We set a goal, get everything ready and somehow, magically, out of nowhere, our goals fizzle out by 10th Jan.
Have you ever wondered why?
In this session, we explore some of the reasons with Jaba Sen Menon, Executive and Life Coach why our goals don’t work. Jaba has led people, businesses and brands over a career spanning 32 years in organizations like McCann Erickson, Publicis, OneWorld International and was the founding management board member of Centum Learning, a Bharti Group company. She passionately addresses issues around “waste of human potential” and brings her diverse experience to coaching new leaders, seeking individuals and facilitating programmes for clients in 16 countries.
She also continues to evolve as a mother of a 24 year old daughter and draws upon her personal journey of transformation and spiritual practice to support clients discover their own spark and achieve their life goals.
She shares that while we set goals, it’s important to ask some questions before you even set a goal?
- Is this truly my goal/my vision or someone else’s expectations?
- Does it resonate with my value?
- Does my goal make me feel energized?
- How do I feel if I have attained the goal?
If it doesn’t energize you, it’s not even worth keeping.
