This comes from another dear friend. One day when talking with her, she mentioned, “Shikha, people tell me, you are so lucky, you have the right job, the right friends all the right people around you.”
She continued, “While it is partly true, I definitely have the best people around me. It’s not like I am lucky. I work very hard to keep the right people in my life. I don’t spend time or energy on people who don’t help me grow.”
And that made me realize, as much as it is important to find the right people along your journey, it’s important to distance yourself from the ones who pull you down.
As much as it is important to water the garden, it is equally important to take the weeds out.
